Frequently Asked Questions
How many students share one room?
Accommodation is usually provided on triple sharing basis. Separate rooms for boys and girls will be arranged as per institutional or group norms. Room sharing is based on gender and group preferences.
What if I fall sick during the trip?
Basic first-aid support will be available with the tour coordinator. For any serious illness or injury, local medical help will be arranged. Students are advised to carry their personal medicines and inform the tour leader in advance about any pre-existing medical conditions.
What happens if there is a change in the itinerary?
Minor changes may occur due to weather, traffic, or local conditions. The tour operator and faculty will make alternate arrangements to ensure the best possible experience without compromising safety or quality
What if I lose something during the trip?
Keep your belongings labeled. In case of loss, inform the coordinator immediately. The team will help recover it, but the group is responsible for their own valuables.
What if I cancel my trip after booking?
Cancellation charges may apply, depending on the date of cancellation and advance arrangements made (such as train tickets, hotel bookings, etc.). If train or flight tickets have been booked, their refund will follow the respective cancellation policy (IRCTC/airline rules).

Day 1 - SHILLONG
8:30 AM: Reach Guwahati Airport and meet our representative. Have breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Begin the journey to Shillong (around 3 hours, 100 km) by road. Enjoy the scenic drive through green hills and valleys.
Late Morning ( Reach Shillong):
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax for a while. Later, have lunch at the hotel.
Afternoon:
- Don Bosco Museum - Learn about Northeast India’s culture through displays of traditional clothes, tools, homes, and art. Climb to the top floor for a panoramic view of the city.
- Air Force Museum - See real models of airplanes, uniforms, and other equipment used by the Indian Air Force. Learn how the Air Force protects the region and keeps our skies safe.
Evening:
After sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 - SHILLONG
8:30 AM: Enjoy a healthy breakfast at the hotel. Leave for the day’s exploration focused on local crafts and culture.
Morning:
- Neela Handloom Training Center - See how the Khasi community weaves beautiful cloth using traditional methods. Learn about Eri silk, a special type of silk found only in Meghalaya. Watch a live weaving demonstration.
Afternoon:
- Workshop at Bamboo Craft Session - Join a fun and creative session to see how bamboo is used to make useful everyday items. Try basket weaving and create simple bamboo crafts. Learn how these skills help support local families and communities.
- Cultural Learning at Khasi Attire & Artisans - Discover the traditional clothes and jewelry worn by Khasi men and women. Meet local women artisans—ask questions, hear their stories, and understand their craft and daily life.
Stay back at the hotel. Enjoy dinner and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel (Stay – 2).
Day 4 - MAWLYNNONG

Meet a local community leader and talk about daily life, traditions, and how the village protects its natural surroundings.

Learn about the important role of the community in eco-tourism.
Evening:
Return to hotel and stay back. Enjoy dinner and relax. Overnight stay at the homestay (Stay – 4).

Day 5 - MEGHALAYA
7:30 AM: Check out from the hotel after breakfast and continue exploring the scenic wonders of Meghalaya. Located 50 km away (2-hour drive through scenic terrain).
Morning:
Note: From the parking area, it’s a 15–20 minute easy downhill walk through grassy and rocky paths. The full round-trip trek is about 3–4 km and takes 1 to 1.5 hours with breaks and photo stops.
Afternoon (After lunch):
Note: Swimming is allowed only with life jackets (available for rent). Basic toilets and changing rooms are near the entrance. Carry a towel and spare clothes if you plan to swim.
Evening:
After sightseeing, proceed to shillong, (75 km – approx. 3 hours).
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay (Stay - 5).

Day 6 - SHILLONG - GUWAHATI
11:00 AM: Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. Check out and begin the drive to Guwahati Airport.
En Route Stop:
Umiam Lake – Pause at this beautiful reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills.
Learn about the lake ecosystem, water conservation, and how the region uses water for hydropower. Take some time for group photos and quiet reflection.
Evening:
Drop Guwahati Airport.
Return home with new knowledge, friendships, and memories from an unforgettable journey.
